Godís Simple Plan of Salvation

Are you saved?  Are you sure you will go to heaven when you die?

God says in the Bible that to get to heaven you must be born again.  John 3:7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."

The Bible tells us the plan on being born again, which is to be saved.  The plan is simple.  How does the plan work?  First you must admit that you are a sinner.  Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;".

Because everyone is born a sinner a price must be paid, and that price is being condemned to death and an eternity in Hell being separated from all you love and eternal torture.. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."  Romans 6:23.

God does not want to send anyone to Hell he loves everyone and has made a way possible that we may be saved and spend eternity in glory with him.  John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  Also, 2 Corinthians 5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Jesus shed His blood and died for you! "...without shedding of blood is no remission." is stated in Hebrews 9:22.   The Bible also shows us the full extent of God's love in Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

No one can understand how our sins were laid upon Jesus, but it is clear as to why he did so, God loved us so much that his son Jesus died in our place, gave himself as an offering so that we can spend eternity.  It is true, God cannot lie.  As any parent knows they would take the place of their child and give up their life so that their children may live.  We are God's children!

Again, as found in the Bible the Philippian jailer asked "And brought them out, and said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?'  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:30-31.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.Romans 10:13

Anyone can and will be saved if they will call on the Lord, not maybe, or come back later, then and there your prayer will be answered.

The sinner's prayer is simple, trust and believe:  "Oh God, I know that I am a sinner.  I believe that Jesus, your son was my substitute when He died on the Cross.  I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me.  I ask for your forgiveness and I receive Him as my Savior.  I thank you for  the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of your eternal love and merciful grace.  Amen."

That's it!, "It can't be this simple?"  Yes, it's that simple!  It's scriptural, it's truth, and it's God's plan!

God will keep you strong, and enable your to live a fruitful, victorious Christian life.  "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."  I Corinthians 10:13.

Do not let others tell you that you aren't saved or cannot be saved.  Do not trust on your feelings alone, they change.  Stand on God's promises.  They never change.

What do I do now?  There are three things for daily spiritual growth:  Pray (talking to God), Reading the Bible (God talking to you), Witnessing for God (being God's voice and spreading the good news to everyone).

One other important thing that should also be done is baptism in accordance to God as a public testimony of your salvation and uniting with a Bible believing church.

Matthew 10:32 says "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven."
